What is the difference between extract and split?

Extract lets you pick any combination of pages (e.g. pages 1, 3, 7) into a single new PDF. Split divides the entire document at a specific page number into two halves.

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes. Click any combination of page thumbnails. The extracted PDF contains only the pages you selected, in their original order.

Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. Page extraction is done entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. Your PDF never leaves your device.

Does extracting pages preserve formatting?

Yes. Each extracted page is an exact copy of the original, including text, images, fonts, and layout.

Can I reorder the extracted pages?

The extracted pages keep their original order. To reorder them, use the Reorder Pages tool after extracting.
