Does this tool render JavaScript-heavy pages?

Yes. The tool uses a headless browser (Playwright with Chromium) to fully render the page, including JavaScript-generated content, CSS animations, and dynamically loaded elements.

Can I convert pages behind a login?

No. The tool can only access publicly available URLs. Pages that require authentication or are behind a paywall will not render correctly.

Is the URL content sent to a server?

Yes. Unlike other tools on PDF4.dev, webpage-to-pdf requires server-side rendering. The URL is sent to our server, loaded in a headless browser, and the PDF is generated and returned to you. We do not store the URL or the generated PDF.

Are images and CSS styles preserved?

Yes. The headless browser renders the page exactly as you would see it in Chrome, including images, web fonts, CSS layouts, and SVGs.

Is there a page size limit?

The tool captures the full page content. Very long pages are split across multiple PDF pages based on your chosen page size. There is no hard limit on page length.
