Does cropping permanently remove content?

Cropping changes the visible area of each page by adjusting the crop box. The original content outside the crop area may still exist in the file but is not displayed by PDF readers.

Can I crop each page differently?

The crop settings apply to all pages uniformly. For per-page cropping, crop the same file multiple times with different settings and merge the results.

Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. Cropping is done entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. Your PDF never leaves your device.

Does cropping reduce the file size?

Cropping alone does not significantly reduce file size because the hidden content may still be embedded. To reduce size after cropping, use the Compress PDF tool.

Can I undo a crop after downloading?

No. Once downloaded, the crop is applied. Keep a copy of the original file if you might need the full page area later.
